Marble Falls Area EMS is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation that was established in 1976 by a dedicated group of volunteers. The service has grown to include a cohesive existence between volunteers and career employees. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors that meets on the third Wednesday of every month at our central station in Marble Falls.
Our origin is steeped in a tradition of volunteer contribution; without their hard work, Marble Falls Area EMS wouldn't be what it is today. Additionally, we are grateful for the help of so many volunteers who devote their personal time to help us during special events.
The Marble Falls Area EMS response area is one of the fastest growing areas in the United States. The Highland Lakes area of the Texas Hill Country has proved to be a top choice for retirement age citizens as well as a prime location for business development. Over the past ten years, our service has grown from a small volunteer service in Southern Burnet County to a fully paid ambulance service that provides quality pre-hospital care to approximately 47,000 citizens in Southern Burnet and Southeastern Llano Counties. Our service area spans over 300 square miles with many miles of lake and river shoreline which provides our service a unique call mixture of rescue/trauma and medical responses.
